As a three-sport varsity athlete, Great Bend senior Sadie Spray has remained busy during her prep career. Wednesday morning, she decided which of those sports she will continue to play in college by inking a letter of intent to play basketball at Washburn University in Topeka next year.

Last winter, Spray led the Lady Panthers with 16.9 points and 4.2 steals per game. She scored a season-high 26 points in games against Garden City and Lawrence Free State, and added 24 points in the season-opener against Junction City.

Spray was part of a state championship 4x400m relay team in 2022, and she finished third in the high jump at the state track meet in May. She collected another bronze in the 300m hurdles, and has collected various other state medals in the hurdles and relays throughout her prep career. She was also a member of the 4x100m relay team that set a GBHS record. Earlier this year, Spray helped the Lady Panther volleyball team to a school-best 31 wins in a season. She finished third on the team with 254 digs and 66 blocks and fourth on the squad with 140 kills.

Sadie is the daughter of Chris and Julie Spray.
