CINCINNATI (AP) — John Newman III scored 13 of his 18 in the second half, Simas Lukosius hit the go-ahead 3-pointer with 10.6 seconds left and Cincinnati blew a 13-point lead before beating Kansas State 74-72 to snap a three-game skid. Lukosius finished with 13 points. Perry hit a straight-away 3 late in the shot clock that made it 72-71 with 1:16 left — Kansas State’s first lead since 8-5. Neither team scored again until Lukosius came around a screen, caught a pass from Jizzle James at hit the winner. Perry lost the ball out of bounds under the basket with 2.7 seconds to go. Perry hit six 3s and led the Wildcats with 26 points, including 17 in the second half.

WACO, Texas (AP) — RayJ Dennis had 19 points and 10 assists, Jayden Nunn scored 18 points with consecutive fastbreak layups to ignite a key run for No. 15 Baylor and the Bears beat seventh-ranked Kansas 82-74. The Jayhawks have consecutive losses for the first time this season. Yves Missi added 17 points and fellow freshman Ja’Kobe Walter 11 for the 21-8 Bears. Big 12 scoring leader Kevin McCullar Jr. had 20 points in his return to the Kansas lineup after missing four of the previous five games with a bone bruise in his knee. Hunter Dickinson also had 20 points for 21-8 Kansas.

WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — Colby Rogers had 25 points, Harlond Beverly scored 23 and Wichita State beat Rice 87-66 on Saturday night. Rogers made 7 of 15 shots (7 of 9 from 3-point range) and 4 of 4 from the free-throw line for the Shockers (13-17, 5-12 American Athletic Conference). Beverly made 7 of 11 shots, including all three of his 3-point attempts and 6 of 7 foul shots. He also grabbed five rebounds. Dalen Ridgnal sank three 3-pointers, scoring 11.

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — Jamal Shead hit a short follow shot with 0.4 seconds left and No. 1 Houston beat Oklahoma 87-85 on Saturday night, giving coach Kelvin Sampson a victory over one of his former schools. Shead missed a driving layup attempt, but corralled the rebound and put the Cougars back ahead after they blew a 15-point lead. Emanuel Sharp tipped away a desperation pass by Oklahoma’s Milos Uzan as time expired. L.J. Cryer led Houston (26-3, 13-3 Big 12) with 23 points, making 5 of 9 3-pointers. J’Wan Roberts added 20 points and Shead had 14 points. Rivaldo Soares had 16 points for Oklahoma (19-10, 7-9). Sampson coached Oklahoma from 1994 to 2006 and ranks second in program history with 279 wins.

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Tre King had 16 points and No. 8 Iowa State had a late 11-0 run to beat UCF 60-52 on Saturday for its third straight victory and seventh in eight games. Milan Momcilovic and Curtis Jones each added 11 points for Iowa State (23-6, 12-4 Big 12). Momcilovic hit a basket with 2:20 left to give the Cyclones a three-point lead. Jaylin Sellers led UCF (15-13, 6-10) with 13 points. Shemarri Allen had 11. After UCF rallied to take a one-point lead, the Cyclones held the Knights scoreless for nearly the final five minutes. UCF broke the drought with 16 seconds left at the foul line. The Knights did not make a field goal in the final 5:08.

PROVO, Utah (AP) — Fousseyni Traore scored 22 points on 8-of-11 shooting, Trevin Knell added 20 points, including four 3-pointers, and BYU erased a 17-point halftime deficit as the Cougars beat TCU 87-75. Dallin Hall scored 12 points, Richie Saunders 11 and Spencer Johnson 10 for BYU. Saunders hit a jumper and followed 15 seconds later with a 3-pointer that gave the Cougars the lead for good at 65-62 with 7:32 left amid a 12-0 spurt capped about a minute later when Traore made a layup. Nelson answered with a jumper that ended a 3-minute scoring drought for TCU, but BYU scored 12 of the next 15 points to push the lead into double figures for good. Emanuel Miller led TCU with 15 points. Jameer Nelson Jr. scored 14 and Trevian Tennyson 12.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) — Joe Toussaint scored 21 points, Chance McMillian added 19 and Texas Tech beat West Virginia 81-70. It was tied 63-all with 7:46 remaining. McMillian’s 3-pointer then gave Texas Tech the lead for good as the Red Raiders ended on an 18-7 run. Toussaint played at West Virginia last season, then left in the fallout from Hall of Fame coach Bob Huggins’ drunken driving arrest last June and subsequent exit from the Mountaineers. Jesse Edwards scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead West Virginia (9-20, 4-12).

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Dylan Disu scored 17 points and Texas pulled away late to beat Oklahoma State 81-65. The Longhorns evened their record in Big 12 Conference games to 8-8 while earning their 19th victory. With two games left in the regular season Texas is in 8th place. Oklahoma State falls into last place in the conference, a half-game behind West Virginia.

LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) — Freshman S’Mya Nichols had a career-high 29 points, senior Holly Kersgieter had a season-high 26 and Kansas ended the regular season with an 83-74 win over 20th-ranked and Big 12 Conference champion Oklahoma. Taiyanna Jackson had her 40th career double-double with 12 points and 15 rebounds as the Jayhawks enhanced their NCAA resume with a third Top 25 win and their eighth win in the last nine games. Payton Verhulst had 22 points for Oklahoma. The Big 12 tournament starts on Thursday but Oklahoma doesn’t play until Saturday. Kansas plays on Friday.

LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) — Serena Sundell and Gabby Gregory scored 13 points apiece and No. 15 Kansas State cruised by Texas Tech 73-49 in both team’s regular-season finale on Saturday. Ayoka Lee added 11 points and Brylee Glenn 10 for the Wildcats, who snapped a two-game skid. Bailey Maupin scored 17 points and Jasmine Shavers 14 for the Lady Raiders, who lost their ninth straight. Kansas State took a 12-6 first-quarter lead then used a 20-3 run over four-plus minutes to lead by 24 before going into halftime ahead 36-17. The Wildcats led by 20 after three quarters and never let the Lady Raiders get closer than 17 in the final period.
