The Great Bend Convention & Visitors Bureau. The Great Bend Chamber of Commerce. The Great Bend Economic Development. Three separate organizations with similarities and differences.
The three entities recently had a collaborative meeting to exchange ideas on how to improve Great Bend. CVB Director Christina Hayes said an Ask GBK initiative was created to elevate customer service for the community.
"It's an opportunity to ask a question via email or our website," said Hayes. "We're going to create a frequently asked questions piece. There are so many questions our agencies are getting. It is confusing on which agency does what. We're looking for a way to help clarify the difference."
There is currently an Ask GBK email address (askgbk@gmail.com), overseen by staff members from each participating organization. This allows residents and visitors to submit questions about any topics.
"Our goal is to provide the citizens of Great Bend an informational hub and a place to get their questions answered," said Hayes. "It's really about improving customer service."
Near the end of January, a website (askgbk.com) will be published to assist in the Ask GBK goal of informing the public. The Great Bend community is invited to join the conversation on social media by using the hashtag #AskGBK.
