The Barton Community College cross country teams concluded the season Friday in Iola competing at the Region VI Championships held at Cedarbrook Golf Course.
A pair of freshmen led the Cougar teams, on the women's side it was Beverlyn Kiptarus crossing in 36th of the 71-participant field in a 5K time of 20:53.27. Karina Estrada placed 65th in moving up from last season's result by three spots with a season best time of 25:07.20.
