Clara Barton Medical Center announced that Jackie Stiles will be presenting an inspiring talk titled "Defying the Odds" at Hoisington Middle School on Wednesday, July 10, at 7 p.m.. Born and raised in Claflin, Kansas, Jackie Stiles is a celebrated figure in women’s basketball, renowned for her incredible scoring record and dynamic career.
Jackie’s journey in basketball is nothing short of legendary. From leading the nation in scoring during her high school years to rewriting the NCAA record books at Southwest Missouri State University, she has consistently demonstrated excellence and perseverance. Her achievements include leading the Lady Bears to the 2001 Final Four, receiving the prestigious Wade Trophy, and being named WNBA Rookie of the Year after being the 4th overall pick in the 2001 WNBA Draft. Jackie is a three-time NCAA All-American and holds a place in numerous halls of fame, including the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame.
Beyond her prestigious sports career, Jackie Stiles has faced personal challenges with remarkable resilience.
