Staff at the 20th Judicial District's Juvenile Services was excited about the latest round of Parent Project classes that were set to begin on Jan. 21. Let the anticipation last a little longer. Family Engagement Advocate Casey Rowland said the 10-week session has been moved back a month.

"We had said it's going to start Jan. 21," she said. "We actually have to pivot from that date due to some unforeseen circumstances - weather, different things like that. We're going to move it to Feb. 25 at 6 p.m."

The extra time will allow staff to line up guests and better serve attendees each Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. There is no cost to attend and attendees received a homecooked meal and class materials. In-person classes are held at 1800 12th Street in Great Bend, or classes may be attended via Zoom.

"You can still get on the list," Rowland said. "You can still show up Feb. 25, come on in and enjoy learning about ways to communicate with your kids and not argue with them, and we'll continue to carry on."
