WICHITA —A Kansas felon is under investigation for a crime involving a laser pointer.

Cletis Ringwald, 68, of Lyons, was indicted on one count of aiming a laser pointer at an aircraft, according to the United State's Attorney.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Kansas Highway Patrol are investigating the case.

Ringwald has a previous conviction for drug possession, according to the Kansas Department of Corrections.
