Betty Lou Haberman age 82, of Timken, Kansas, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2026, at Via Christi Village in Hays, Kansas. She was born July 26, 1944, in Hennessey, Oklahoma, to Francis Henry and Bessie (McCartney) Beebe.
Betty was a devoted wife and mother to her family and the land she loved. A homemaker, farmer, and cattlewoman, she worked alongside her husband, Henry, and son, Leroy, on the Haberman family farm. She treasured rural life especially their cattle, tending her garden, working crossword puzzles, and staying active. Above all, she was a loving wife and mother.
She is survived by her husband, Henry Leroy Haberman, and son, Leroy Haberman, both of Timken, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents a brother, Jack Beebe; a sister, Peggy Stucks and special fur baby, Charlie.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM with a rosary service at 12:30 PM Friday, September 11, 2026 at Keithley Funeral Homes - La Crosse Chapel, 611 Peace Street, La Crosse, Kansas. Burial will follow in the La Crosse City Cemetery.Visitation will be at the funeral chapel from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, September 10, and from 11:00 AM until service time Friday.Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael's Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society.
