The Lady Panther volleyball team took a week off from action before returning to the court Tuesday evening in Junction City. Great Bend improved to 11-1 overall, taking the best-of-five match in straight sets 25-13, 25-12, 25-10.

Nine Lady Panthers had kills in the match, led by eight from junior Kara Feist and six from junior Cassie Ellegood. Freshmen Kya Behr and Alex Mayers and senior Emilee Hall split an additional 13 spikes. Feist served up three of the team's eight aces in the match, and senior Sadie Spray added two. Ellegood was a force up front defensively with five blocks, and Feist added a pair.

Back-row defense was done by committee with four Lady Panthers recording at least eight digs. Seniors Macy Nachtigal and Paige Thexton each had nine, and Behr and senior Lauryn Davis each added eight. Behr paced the pass attack with 20 assists, and Spray finished with nine.

Great Bend heads to Goddard for triangular action on Thursday.
