The New Year is less than two weeks away. While Jan. 1 offers many the chance to turn the page, Ellinwood’s Kymie Peters is especially looking for a new start. In July, she lost her husband in a car accident. Then she was diagnosed with lymphoma. Kymie is expecting another child in 2026. To help with medical expenses, Kymie’s coworkers and friends are holding a raffle. Tickets may be purchased through 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 22.
Tickets are $5 for one or $20 for five. One hundred percent of proceeds from the raffle will assist Peters. A live drawing will be held Monday at 4 p.m.
Several businesses have donated for the raffle. Prizes include a shotgun, a pair of $250 gift cards from Ellinwood Packing, three $25 gift cards to Hejny Liquor, a $50 gift card to Walnut Bowl, a $150 gift card to Walmart, a gift certificate from Body Care by Cara, a $20 gift card to Starbucks, gift cards to Maurices, a 90-minute session from Divine Feminine Massage Therapy, clothes, jewelry, and several gift baskets.
