On November 2, 2021, there will be a General Election to elect the following:
• City of Great Bend – Mayor and Four (4) councilmember 1 from each ward
• City of Hoisington – Mayor and Four (4) councilmember 1 from each ward
• City of Ellinwood – Mayor and Two (2) councilmember positions
• City of Claflin – Three (3) councilmember positions
• City of Albert – Mayor and Five (5) councilmember positions
• City of Galatia – Mayor and Five (5) councilmember positions
• City of Olmitz –Three (3) councilmember positions
• City of Pawnee Rock – Three (3) councilmember positions
• City of Susank – Mayor and Five (5) councilmember positions
• Unified School District 428 - Three (3) board member positions at-large
• Unified School District 431 – Three (3) board member positions at-large
• Unified School District 355 - Three (3) board member positions at-large plus
• Barton County Community College - Three (3) Board of Trustees positions at-large
• Ellinwood Hospital District - one (1) Board of Trustees positions at-large
• Cottonwood Extension District No. 17 - Two (2) Board member positions at-large
All candidates must now file at the Barton County Clerk’s Office, Room 202, 1400 Main, Great Bend, Kansas. The filing fee for all positions is $20.
Any registered voter residing in the above-named districts may file for election on or before the filing deadline 12:00 noon on Tuesday, June 1, 2021.
If the number of candidates filing for office necessitates a Primary Election, the Primary Election will be held on August 3, 2021.
