The Barton Community College women's track and field team placed 3RD at the NJCAA Division I Championships held the past three days at Hutchinson's Gowans Stadium.

The Cougars' 4x400m relay team completed its mission on the events final event, placing national runner-up in earning eight points jumping the Cougars onto the award stand.  Compiling 68 total points and just .5 points ahead of Coffeyville, the result gave Barton its fifth straight season of bringing home a coveted trophy.  South Plains, who tied Barton for the outdoor national title last season, won this year's team title with 104 points as Iowa Western finished second with 85 points.
