Kathryn Marie Scott, 63, passed away January 11, 2022, at Azria Health of Great Bend. She was born on July 1, 1958, at Hoisington, to Herman & Henrietta (Tauscher) Farmer. She married Don Scott and they later divorced. She then was with her long-time companion, Dale Ferguson until his death.
A lifetime Hoisington resident, Kathryn was a CNA for various nursing homes and in-home care for many years. She had also previously worked as a carhop at Sonic. Kathryn was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed gambling, especially her “scratchers”, fishing, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include a son, Jeremie Scott (Shelly Hodges) of Hoisington; two sisters, Elizabeth Boyd of Hoisington and Gloria Loomer (David) of Sidney, Mont.; three grandchildren, Danika Scott, Nicole Scott and Tristin Scott (Emily); soon to be great-grandchild, Monroe Rose Scott; and former husband, Don Scott of Great Bend. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jeffrey Scott; two brothers, Richard Farmer and Danny Farmer; and long-time companion, Dale Ferguson.
Visitation will be held from Noon to 5:00 p.m., Monday, January 17, 2022, at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home and 9:00 a.m. to service time. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, with Reverend Dick Ogle presiding. Interment will be in the Hoisington Cemetery. Memorials have been designated to the Kathryn Scott Expense Fund, in care of Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home.
