Delfred Eugene “Del” Coburn, 80, passed away on November 19, 2022, at Medicalodges in Great Bend, Kan. He was born on August 10, 1942, to Delbert and Dorothy (Hall) Coburn.
An area resident for 28 years, Del worked as a salesman in many home improvement areas. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Ellinwood, Kan., and loved studying the Bible and sharing his faith with family and friends. Del also enjoyed music, specifically the guitar, fishing, and above all else, spending time with his family and babysitting grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a lover of animals, specifically his beagle, Toby.
Survivors include a daughter, Dorthea Collins and spouse, Terry, of Ellinwood, Kan.; a son, Raymond Coburn of Glendale, Ariz.; six grandchildren, Mandy and spouse, Travis, Bridgette, Jenna, Tara, Brandon, and Gavriel; six great-grandchildren, Breanna, Travis, Braelynn, Landon, Alice and Charlotte; and a honorary daughter, Betsy of Ariz. He is preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Delain Coburn.
There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. A private family service has been scheduled for a later date. Memorials have been designated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
