The City of Hoisington took to social media this week to remind citizens about a city ordinance regarding the installation of swimming pools.
The reconstructed public pool will not open until July 1, so the city anticipates an increase in above-ground pools.
The city noted if you plan to erect an above-ground pool, make sure you install a fence as part of your project.
The Hoisington city ordinance states private swimming pools having water two feet or deeper must be separated from the remainder of the yard by a protective fence at least four feet in height. The enclosure should have locked gates.
