Farmers make plans to join us on Monday, May 23 at 8:30 a.m. for the annual Cottonwood Extension District Wheat Variety Plot Field Day in Barton County.

This is a big variety plot this year says Stacy Campbell, Crop Production agent with the Cottonwood District. Furthermore, Romulo Lollato, K-State Extension Wheat & Forage specialist has a large-scale intensive management wheat study beside our variety plot that he will discuss. In addition, Kelsey Anderson Onofre, Extension specialist in small grains plant pathology will discuss wheat diseases common to our area and preventative measures. And as always these field days are for the growers and there will be plenty of time for Q & A!

It is located 2.5 miles west of Great Bend on West Barton County Road at the intersection of NW 50th Ave. Donuts, coffee and juice will be provided courtesy of American Ag Credit and Ed Junior Farm.

All interested people are invited to attend. RSVP appreciated by Friday, May 20th call the Great Bend Office at 620-793-1910 or email Brenda [email protected]
