The City of Russell will hold a public forum Oct. 29 to discuss a proposed ¾ cent water sales tax. The sales tax question will go on the November ballot for Russell citizens.
The city is hoping the initiative will help secure sustainable water resources and infrastructure. The city stated the current reality of their water sources is scarce and limits progress for future growth and sustainability.
The forum next Tuesday will provide information on how the ¾ cent sales tax can support water source development, infrastructure upgrades and ensure a reliable water future for Russell.
The forum will begin at 7 p.m. at the Dream Theatre.
