The Russell Community Impact Award Committee is pleased to announce Jamie Tomlinson as the distinguished recipient of the July 2025 Russell Community Impact Award. This award recognizes individuals, businesses, or organizations whose exceptional contributions have significantly enriched the fabric of the Russell community.
Jamie Tomlinson has been instrumental in the development of the Community for Classrooms organization. This organization was created to support USD 407 classrooms and staff, but Jamie has provided the heart necessary to add an element of community collaboration and support that has been missing within our community. Jamie has the unique ability to bring people together through his positivity and passion for seeing success for Russell. He inspires those around him to be better and focus on solutions for the future of our community.
Jamie's nomination describes his positivity as contagious and his belief in our community has helped others believe as well. He recognizes the tangible benefit of not just the financial support of our community's educators, but also the powerful impact of positive morale. Jamie also serves on the Russell Recreation Board and volunteers his time supporting the youth in our community in various athletic programs.
As the winner of the Russell Community Impact Award, Jamie received a $250 donation to the non-profit of his choice. Jamie chose the Bronco Foundation as the recipient. Thank you, Jamie, for your devotion to our community and the countless hours you dedicate to moving our community forward!
