During this week’s meeting, the Barton County Commission recognized three meaningful proclamations, each highlighting excellence, awareness, and the strength of community across the County.

The Commission proudly recognized the 2025–2026 Ellinwood High School Lady Eagles Basketball Team for an outstanding season and a historic run to the 2A State Championship.

Finishing with an impressive 27–2 record, the Lady Eagles demonstrated excellence, discipline, and sportsmanship throughout the season. Their success reflects not only the talent of the players and coaching staff, but also the continued support of their school, families, and the Ellinwood community.

The team’s achievements set a new standard and serve as a strong example of what can be accomplished through dedication and teamwork.
