At approximately 4:20 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, the Barton County Fire District #2 responded to a report of a lawn mower on fire at the driving range, south of Hoisington. Upon arrival, crews found a Hustler mower fully involved in fire. A quick attack was done to keep the fire from spreading in the nearby grass.
The mower was a total loss and the operator was not injured. Fire District #2 was assisted by Barton County Dispatch, Barton County Sheriff's Office and the City of Hoisington.
