St. John's 2026 Jubilee scheduled for this Friday and Saturday 'around the square'

The After Harvest Festival in Ellinwood. The Labor Day Celebration in Hoisington. St. John has its own tradition with the Jubilee, which is scheduled for this Friday and Saturday around the town square in St. John.

Festivities kick off Friday night at 6 p.m. with the opening flag ceremony. Vendors, carnival rides, bounce houses, and a water park will be available from 6-8:30 p.m. The cornhole tournament in the beer garden and bingo at Ida Long Library also begin at 6:30 p.m. Casino Night will run from 8-11 p.m. with a $1,000 cash prize for first place.

Action resumes Saturday morning from 6-9 a.m. with the IOOF free breakfast at the Shell Building, 104 E. 4th Street. The Rec Commission will host its 5K run beginning at 8 a.m., and a car show at the Old Ford Garage begins at 9 a.m. Family Feud will be played on the main stage from 10-11:30 a.m. Everything builds towards the parade at 1 p.m.

Vendors, carnival rides, bounce houses, a petting zoo, water park, and touch-a-truck event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday. A prize drawing and quilt auction begins at 2 p.m. ahead of the closing ceremony for the 2026 Jubilee.
