The City of Great Bend stopped taking applications Oct. 4 for the assistant city administrator position, and there were 25 applications submitted. Great Bend Mayor Cody Schmidt said Monday he hopes to be in the interview process within seven to 10 days with a committee overviewing the recommended selection.
"I recommend Rickee Maddox, Lindsey Krom-Craven, Kevyn Soupiset, Megan Barfield, Jordan Elliott, Jenna Pitchford, Allen Glendenning, Logan Burns and myself will serve on that committee," said Schmidt.
With Logan Burns taking over the role of Great Bend City Administrator on Aug. 12, the City of Great Bend is looking to fill the assistant city administrator position he left vacant.
The assistant administrator position was left vacant for several years prior to Burns getting appointed to the position in November 2022.
