James “Jim” William Pieschl

James “Jim” William Pieschl, 87, passed away September 1, 2021 at The University of Kansas Health Systems Great Bend Campus.

He was born September 19, 1933 in Larned, the son of William Henry and Oma Alice Wagner Pieschl.

A lifetime area resident he was a farmer and stockman. He was a member of Burdett United Methodist Church, past member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, Ash Valley, past member of Rozel United Methodist Church, and the Santa Fe Trail Center, Larned. He enjoyed collecting cars and farming.

On December 22, 1963 he married Eulah Belle Holle at Hesston; she preceded him in death on August 5, 2013.

Survivors include three sons, Kevin Pieschl, Garfield, Kyle Pieschl, Great Bend, Marc Pieschl, Rush Center; daughter Marcia (Tim) Oberholzer, Cottonwood, Idaho; and three grandchildren, Elizabeth Orgish, Ida Pieschl, and Madelyn Pieschl.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 10, 2021 at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned, with Pastor Linda Doyle presiding. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Beckwith Mortuary. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery.
