KIOWA COUNTY—A Kansas woman was injured in an accident just before 8a.m. Thursday in Kiowa County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2004 Freightliner semi driven by Jason E. Hindman, 43, Preston, was eastbound on U.S. 54 six miles east of Greensburg.
The semi rear-ended a 2000 Chevy Blazer driven by Mario Garza, 31, Garden City, who had slowed down and moved left for law enforcement on a traffic stop. Both vehicles traveled into the south ditch.
EMS transported a passenger in the SUV Nayeli A Garza, 32, Garden City, the hospital in Pratt. Mario Garza and Hindman were not injured. All three were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
