Nearly two weeks ago, the City of Great Bend informed citizens that the intersection of 32nd Street and Williams Street would be closed for a few weeks. City crews are excavating and replacing flowline and surrounding concrete.
Public Works Director Jason Cauley said crews this week were pouring concrete around the sanitary sewer.
"They will also pour in the gutters on each wing as it comes into that radius," said Cauley. "Once the concrete is poured, then we'll start pouring the flowline and get that intersection done."
Cauley said he hopes to have the intersection construction to be finished in the next couple of weeks to allow traffic to resume. The city reminded citizens to be attentive while traveling through the area.
