Great Bend City Administrator Logan Burns joked Monday night that potholes is everybody’s favorite word. A highly-complained about topic throughout communities, potholes have caught the attention of Great Bend city officials.
"Those are popping up in full force with the moisture we received over the weekend and Monday," said Burns. "The Public Works Department will be all out this week and next week to catch up on all of those."
Great Bend does offer an avenue to report potholes or other issues to city officials. By visiting the city website, greatbendks.net, there is a “Report a Concern” button. Pothole complaints can be found under the “Street, Water, WPC and Code Enforcement” section.
"The ones I saw Monday were on Broadway, 24th Street and we have some popping up on 10th Street as well."
