Timothy Mark Parret, 63, passed away Nov. 4, 2023, at his home, Pawnee Rock.
He was born June 3, 1960, the son of Jack and Betty Schell Parret. A lifetime area resident; he was owner and operator of Tim Parret Pipe Company, where he was a truck driver hauling used oilfield structural pipe.
He was a member of the Pawnee Rock Christian Church and a past Mayor for the city of Pawnee Rock. He lived in Sedan, Kansas for 13 years where he owned Parret Pipe Company, until moving back to Pawnee Rock in 1999 to continue operating the family business. One of Tim’s favorite things to do was to go 4-Wheeling with his family and his “Pup” dog. He enjoyed going camping and was always known for telling a great story.
On May 11, 1983 he married Rebecca Sue Smith in Louisiana; she survives.
Other survivors include; two sons, Travis (Erin) Parret, Kansas City and Nicholas Parret, Pawnee Rock; two daughters, Chasity Parret, Salina and Georgia Parret, Pawnee Rock; two sisters, Marie Johns, Okla., and Judy Wheeler, Texas; a sister-in-law, Sandy Parret, Larned; eight grandchildren, Drew Southern, Tanner Parret, Makenzie Frisbie, Hallee Tower, Alexander Parret, Elizabeth Parret, Matthew Parret and Christian Parret; two great-grandchildren; two uncles, David Schell and Curt Schell, one aunt, Debbie Bowman, and nine first cousins and numerous extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by; his parents, Jack and Betty Parret; his step-dad Joseph Billus, two brothers, Robert Parret and Jack Parret Jr, a granddaughter, Kayla Parret; and two aunts, Sara Mostrom and Kathy Hinkel.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Pawnee Rock Cemetery with Pastor Wade Russell presiding. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday with family present from 5-7 p.m. at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned.
