The Great Bend Panthers ran out of gas against a strong St. Thomas Aquinas team Friday morning, as the Panthers offense went cold at the wrong time in a 4-0 loss.
Jaxon Wandra got the start and gave up four runs over four and two thirds innings. Rafael Chavez came on for the remaining outs without giving up a run.
STA starter Nicholas Sabers struck out six batters over six innings, and scattered four base hits.
Great Bend ends the first year under Michael Stettinger with an 18-11 record.
