CKCA to host cornhole tournament Sept. 1

Posted Aug 25, 2022 8:00 PM

Central Kansas Christian Academy, a nonprofit Christian school in Great Bend, announced a new cornhole tournament fundraiser on Thursday, Sept. 1 that is open to the public.

Teams and sponsors are still being accepted for this new event.

The evening will begin with a special Family Fun Night at 5:15 p.m. with hot dogs, chips and water for a freewill donation on the school playground. Check-in for cornhole teams will begin at 5:45 p.m. with separate brackets for youth (8th grade and below) and adults (14 years and older).

"We are excited about this new fundraiser, and hope the community will come out to support the school by participating or sponsoring," said CKCA Board Chair Brandon Schroeter. "Proceeds from the event will be used to help underwrite the rising costs of providing the very best in Christian education to our students and their families."

Cost to play in the cornhole tournament is $25 per team of two, and registration is requested in advance prior to Aug. 30 if possible. Businesses are also invited to sponsor the event for a $100 minimum donation, which includes a team registration for those who also want to participate. Anyone interested can find more details or the online registration link by visiting the CKCA website: www.ckcacademy.com/events. There is also a Facebook event on the Central Kansas Christian Academy facebook page.
