Great Bend Fire Department staff was called Saturday, Feb. 25 to the report of an out of control burn that was initially an approved control burn. Crews were on scene for several hours and were assisted my Ellinwood Fire Department.
The following day, winds picked up and the fire rekindled. Crews were again called out and assisted by Ellinwood Fire.
