6. Cinco De Mayo ordinance
The Cinco De Mayo group has requested to have a beer garden in Jack Kilby Square on May 3, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for their annual party. The proposed ordinance would allow alcoholic liquor and cereal malt beverages to be sold and consumed on the premises provided that any and all permits and licenses required by state law and the Great Bend code have been obtained and the sale and consumption is in compliance with all terms and conditions contained in those permits and all applicable laws.
7. Extension premise for Dry Lake Brewing
Dry Lake Brewing is requesting a temporary premises extension on May 3 for their anniversary party. The area is the alley and part of the parking lot behind Dry Lake Brewing.
8. TruNarc Analyzer
The police department is seeking authorization to purchase a TruNarc Analyzer from Thermo Fisher Scientific for $38,495.22 for analyzing narcotics.
9. Electrical work at the Wastewater Treatment Facility
In the process of installing the new pump for the lower headworks, the electrical was found to be in a degraded condition. The work was completed for the pump, but the city needs to move the electrical out of the harsh environment. A motion will be presented to approve the bid from Hammeke Electric for electric work at the wastewater treatment facility for $49,262.
