Following a run with the Cleveland Cavaliers that led all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in the post-LeBron era, Dean Wade, a graduate of St. John High School, entered free agency and found a new home with the Philadelphia 76ers.
Wade earned a reputation as a defensive force for the Cavaliers this year, often guarding the toughest assignment while on the floor. That defense was seen as a major factor in the Cavs run, the deepest for the team since the 2017-2018 season.
Wade is known for his defense, rebounding ability, and above-average three-point shot for a player his size. He appeared in 342 games for Cleveland over his seven years with the Cavaliers, including 32 playoff games.
