June Ellis, age 61

June Anne Ellis, age 61 years, of Great Bend, Kansas, passed away on Sunday evening, May 22, 2022 at the University of Kansas Health Systems – Great Bend Campus in Great Bend after a sudden illness.  She leaves behind a huge void with words unable to explain our loss.  June was born on June 29, 1960 at Beloit, Kansas to Harold Duane and Betty Jean (Mott) Sibley.  June graduated from Beloit High School in 1978 and then graduated from North Central Vocational Technical School in Beloit with a Degree in Accounting and Office Management.  She married the love of her life Todd Andrew Ellis on July 7, 1984 at Beloit, Kansas. They were blessed with three sons:  Joshua Dean, Tyler Andrew, and Matthew Edward.  After moving to Great Bend in 1984, June was employed as Office Manager by Dove Chevrolet for 20 years and then another 4 years after it became Marmie Chevrolet.  Her hobbies included time spent with family and laughs with friends, spoiling her grandkids and loving Todd.

            June is survived by her husband Todd A. Ellis of Great Bend, Kansas; three sons:  Joshua Dean (& Taylor) Ellis, Tyler Andrew Ellis, and Matthew Edward Ellis all of Great Bend, Kansas; four grandchildren:  Avery Elizabeth Ellis, Aiden Dean Ellis, Adyson Scott Ellis, and Austyn Paige Ellis; six brothers:  Jesse Peterson, Fred Sibley, Rex Sibley, Ray Don Sibley, Gary Sibley, and Randy Sibley; five sisters:  Janis Koch, Barbara Anderson, Carol Thompson, Rose Hearen, and Diane Jones; many nieces, newphews, cousins and a host of friends.  June was preceded in death by her parents Harold Duane and Betty Jean (Mott) Sibley; her parents-in-law Jimmy L. and Vera A. Ellis; and three brothers:  Richard Peterson, Harold Sibley, and Rory Sibley.

            Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 27, 2022 at Charter Funerals in Great Bend, Kansas.  Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at the funeral home.  Interment will be in the Great Bend Cemetery North at Great Bend, Kansas.  The family requests that Memorial Contributions may be made to the June A.
