Topeka -- Great Bend Panther Dalton Miller scored from 44-yards out in the third quarter Saturday night to lead the West to a 14-9 victory over the East in the 47th Kansas Shrine Bowl Game at Hummer Park in Topeka.
For his efforts, Miller was tabbed as the West's MVP after rushing for 50 yards on 5 carries. Miller played his final high school game with his head coach Erin Beck on the West Sideline.
Miller's touchdown gave the West a 14-3 lead in the third quarter. The East squad made it 14-9 in fourth quarter and later had a potential go ahead touchdown nullified by a offensive pass interferance penalty.
Centralia's Kamble Haverkamp intercepted two passes and was named the East MVP.
