After announcing her resignation in June, Great Bend Economic Development Director Sara Arnberger presented her Economic Development report for the last time in front of the Great Bend City Council at Monday’s meeting. Arnberger said she was fortunate to lead a wide range of initiatives aimed at building a stronger and more vibrant Great Bend.
"This is my last council meeting addressing you all," said Arnberger. "I just want to say thank you for all of the support. It's been absolutely wonderful working with all of you. I love Great Bend. I love this role. I truly mean thank you."
Arnberger started as Economic Development Director in August 2020. She served as the area manager for The Buckle retail store in Hutchinson prior to moving back to her hometown of Great Bend. She was the second director for the organization that started in 2020, replacing Jessica Milsap.
Arnberger said she wants to prioritize more time with her family as she begins a new chapter in her life.
