Clarence Joseph “Joe” Lingreen, 85, passed away May 7, 2023, at KU Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan. He was born December 7, 1937, in Burrton, to Carl & Leona (Foley) Lingreen. He married Sharon Baker March 15, 1959, in Great Bend, and were blessed with 64 years.
A long time Great Bend resident, Joe was the District Superintendent for Smith Tool Company, which sells drilling bits. He was a charter member of Trinity United Methodist Church, the Petroleum Club and a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge. Joe was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching Barton Community College and KU Basketball. Joe also loved taking bus trips and going to the casino, drinking red beer, as well as coffee and fellowship with family and friends.
Survivors include, his wife Sharon Lingreen of the home; two sons, Richard Lingreen, M.D. and wife Karen of Lexington, Kent. and Jeffrey Lingreen and wife Heather of La Vista, Neb.; a daughter, Lisa Kautz and husband Jerry Salinas of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a brother, Jerry Lingreen of Oklahoma City, Okla.; five grandchildren, Jordan Lingreen, Josh Lingreen, Taylor Lingreen, Danielle Kautz-McIntyre (Cody) and Cassie Farnsworth (Zach); one great granddaughter, Ophelia J. Farnsworth; and special family friend, Jennifer Cauley of Great Bend. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Stan Lingreen and Don Lingreen; two sisters, Virginia Morris and Betty Considine.
The family will greet from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 19, 2023, at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 20, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Great Bend, with Pastor Daniel Vandenburg presiding. Inurnment will be in the Great Bend Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorials have been designated to Trinity United Methodist Church, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
