The Great Bend Recreation Commission will be hosting a free Stop ‘N Learn Session titled “Top 10 Pollinators” on Wednesday, Nov. 2, from 12:00 – 1:00 pm at the Great Bend Rec Activity Center (2715 18th Street).
Make plans to join us to learn the top 10 pollinators and how to attract them to your yard. We all know about bees and butterflies and their importance, but beetles, flies, bats, and even a gecko can play an important role in our food supply. We can thank bees for 1 in every 3 bites of food we eat. Lean about our important pollinators and some of the plants that can help make your backyard a hospitable host to these important creatures. Mandy Kern, KWEC Program Specialist, will be the speaker for the program.
The presentation will also be available on the Great Bend Rec Facebook page as a live event. A complete list of programs and class details can be found at the GBRC website at www.greatbendrec.com. Please contact the Recreation Commission office at 793-3755, ext 110, or stop by the office located at 1214 Stone Street for more information or with any questions you may have.
