Update 6:46 p.m.
Our system experienced a fault impacting customers from N. Lincoln to N. Fossil and East 8th Street to Wichita Avenue. Crews are enroute.
Update 2:16 p.m.
To replace three power poles broken during last night's severe wind, crews will need to cut power that will impact customers from Luray Street south, including rural customers. The outage will occur approximately 2:30 pm and last 15 minutes. Thank you for your patience and understanding while our crews work safely to repair the damage.
Update 8:15 a.m.
We still have approximately 20 customers without power across our service area for various reasons, tree limbs fell into service lines, blown fuses or other. Crews continue to work on those.
Update 7:55 a.m.
Crews just completed rebuilding the line (down power poles and power lines) impacting customers from S. Ash to S. Lincoln from W. Wichita to Aurora Drive. Power to those customers should be restored momentarily.
Thank you again for your patience. The severe thunderstorm that rolled through early this morning caused numerous broken poles and down power lines. We shut down Wichita Avenue for a while due to down lines. Crews had a majority of customers restored by 5 am. Approximately 39 customers remain without power. The majority of those are between S Ash and S Lincoln from Aurora Drive to W Wichita.
