Hays High School joined the bowling world just last year. That youth was on display Monday at the Walnut Bowl as the Lady Panthers outshot the Indians 2,245-857. The Panther boys also got back on track with a 2,197-1,880 win.

The Hays girls had just three bowlers in action, and Great Bend had the top-six series on the day. Kaylin Wahlmeier's 655 would have been tough to beat in any event. She started with a 226, rolled a 199 in the middle game, and finished strong with a game-high 230.

Aliyah Fryberger topped out a 223 in the middle game for a 542 series. Sahara Rziha just missed a 200 with a 196 in her middle game for a 524 series. Zoey Mayberry finished with a 514, Emilee Nelson shot a 469, and Rionna Rodriguez finished at 378. Paige Heine rolled a 467 in junior varsity action.

The Panther boys had four of the top-five scores on the afternoon. Jalen Daniels opened with a 201 and finished with a high-game 211 for a high-series of 592. Dylan Ferguson got better throughout the day at 173, 186, and 199 to finish with a 558 series. Caleb McNett went the other way, opening with a 197 to finish with a 551 series.

Kolby Burnham also rolled a 197 to open en route to a 488 series for fifth. Kamron Stude opened with a 175 game and finished with a 456 series, and Jordan Manning started with a 167 to finish with a 430 series. Daegan Miller and Quinten Miller led the junior varsity at 491 and 465, respectively. Hays'  Trenton Holdeman rolled a 502 for fourth place on the varsity side.

The Lady Panthers head to Wichita for the Great Plains Invitational on Friday, and the boys follow on Saturday.
