Folk-artist Bob Mix of Great Bend has been creating one-of-a-kind pieces of three- dimensional art out of scrap metal since 1982. To say they are unique would be an understatement. His art ranges from fantasy art to an accurate portrayal of massive prehistoric mammals For the Ribbon Cutting the Shafer Gallery is proudly installing a dramatic Bob Mix sculpture of a Sabre Tooth Cat in the gallery plaza. The piece will be illuminated by ambient lighting to create an enhance experience for visitors to the Gallery and Barton CC Fine Arts building events. The Gallery will provide refreshments and an opportunity to hear directly from a legendary Barton County Barton artist.
