Ada Leota Belt, 95, passed away Sept. 3, 2023, at Diversicare of Larned.
She was born July 15, 1928, in Hooker, Okla., the daughter of Willard Earl and Ada Florence Parker Mead.
A longtime area resident, she worked as an LMHT at Larned State Hospital for 34 years. On July 1, 2009, she moved to Otis to be near her daughter, Linda Hughes.
On March 23, 1946, she married Lloyd Belt at Belpre; he preceded her in death on March 1, 1996.
Survivors include: daughter Linda Hughes and Keith Davis, Otis; daughter-in-law Joyce Belt, Kansas City, Mo.; 18 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Willard and Ada Parker Mead; husband, Lloyd Belt; six brothers, Lloyd Mead, Roy Mead, Evart Mead, Vernon Mead, Eldon Mead and Carold Mead; and a son, Wesley Belt.
Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2023, at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned, with Steve McKiearnan presiding. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2023, at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Burial will be in the Belpre Cemetery.
