Crews will begin work on the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) project Monday, June 20 in Great Bend.
The project will include the reconstruction of the 19th Street and Harrison Street intersection. Anticipate the intersection to be closed to all traffic for approximately four weeks. There will be access to the Great Bend Middle School through detours around the intersection.
The second part of the project is the repaving of Broadway Avenue from Polk Street to Morton Street. This project, also starting June 20, will restrict Broadway to one way traffic for westbound traffic. One lane will be blocked off while work is being performed. Once work in that lane is completed then the opposing lane will be shut down. Traffic will be detoured around these projects as work demands.
