Patricia Ann “Pat” Stonebraker, 101, passed away March 28, 2024, at Aster Estates, Great Bend, Kan. She was born Beatrice Ann Drill on July 8, 1922, in Hazleton, Pa., to John and Dominica (Medyzin) Drill. Patricia married Donald Richard Miller September 23, 1944, in Topeka, and were later divorced. She then married J. Paul Stonebraker September 3, 1967, in Denver, Colo. He died October 29, 2003.
Pat, a longtime resident of Great Bend coming from Pennsylvania, Denver, and Topeka, had faithfully served as a Barton County Treasurer clerk for over 20 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church, former member of the First United Methodist Church, and enjoyed square dancing, knitting, crocheting, and sewing.
Survivors include two sons, David John Miller and wife Pat of Omaha, Neb., and Bernard Neil Miller and wife JoAnn of Boise, Idaho; one daughter, Patricia Ann Wheeler of Albuquerque, N. Mex.; seven grandchildren, Carl Wheeler and wife Christy, Anthony Wheeler, Charles Wheeler, Lori Miller, Valerie Miller, Nicole Miller, Mark Miller and wife Patricia; ten great grandchildren, Jaden Wheeler and wife Abbie, Keagan Wheeler, Braxton Wheeler, Kassidy Miller, Daniel Miller, Jacob Miller, Zachary Miller, Cassidy Carlson, Grace and Wyatt Nept; one great great grandchild, Ezra Wheeler; and daughter-in-law, Judith Miller of Albert, Kan.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Richard Keith Miller and Randy Lee Miller; and two brothers, Peter Drill and Alexander Drill.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at First Christian Church, Great Bend, with Reverend Josh Leu presiding. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Great Bend, Kan. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorial may be given to First Christian Church, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Road, Great Bend, KS.
