The University of Kansas Health System in Great Bend is pleased to welcome Benjamin Smith, DO, to its care team. Dr. Smith is a family medicine and sports medicine physician.
Dr. Smith’s family practice is based in St. Rose Medical Pavilion, while his sports medicine patients can see him at the orthopedics, physical therapy and sports medicine location on K-96 highway.
“I went into family medicine to treat people of all ages,” Dr. Smith says. “I believe in treating the whole person in mind, body and spirit.”
Dr. Smith earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University in Florida. He completed his family medicine residency at Self Regional Healthcare, Montgomery Center for Family Medicine in Greenwood, South Carolina, and his sports medicine fellowship at Ascension Via Christi in Wichita.
He enjoys spending time outdoors, playing soccer, hiking, kayaking, camping and traveling. He also enjoys spending his free time with family and friends and is engaged to be married this winter.
