Many of the state’s top football players will take the turf next Saturday in Emporia for the 2026 Kansas Shrine Bowl. Eagle Media will have it covered. Sponsorship opportunities are still available for the broadcast that begins at 6:30 p.m. that evening.

Now in its 53rd edition, the Shrine Bowl has raised $3.36 million for Shriners Hospitals for Children. The East vs. West game has featured many of the state’s top graduated seniors since 1974. This year’s game returns to Emporia State University’s Welch Stadium.

This year’s game will have plenty of local representation, including Great Bend’s Daxton Minton at quarterback and Trenton Kern at linebacker. Hoisington’s Taylen Morales was also selected at linebacker. Mulvane’s Daniel Myears has been picked as the West side’s head coach, with Great Bend’s Erin Beck representing Class 5A as an assistant. The West roster also includes Ellsworth’s Cooper McGowan on the defensive line, and Sterling’s Zane Farney at running back.

Eagle Media will again be the official voice of the Shrine Bowl with Voice of the Fort Hays State University Tigers Gerard Wellbrock on the call. Sean Boston with Eagle – Hutchinson will provide color, and Anthony Gorges with Eagle – Manhattan will provide sideline coverage.

Pregame coverage kicks off on 100.7 Eagle Country at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, with the game following at 7 p.m. Contact Eagle Media in Great Bend at (620) 792-3647 for more information about sponsorship opportunities for this year’s broadcast of the 2026 Kansas Shrine Bowl.
