Great Bend High School’s Forensics team is once again making headlines — this time on the state and national stage.

Last month, GBHS Forensics earned top honors at the Western Kansas District Forensics National Qualifier and the Forensics Coaches Invitational. The team also brought home an impressive 3rd Place finish at the State Tournament.

Several students have now qualified for the national competition. Among them: Quinton Heath in Dramatic Interpretation, Anna Bitter in Spoken Word Poetry, Parker Coleman in World School Debate, Darcy Feist in Oration, and Reese King in Expository Speaking.

Kendra Scheideman was named an alternate to Nationals.

In addition to student honors, coaches Kim and Dan Heath were recognized for their outstanding leadership and for hosting the 5A State Tournament at GBHS in early May — a successful event praised as a showcase of Great Bend’s hospitality and top-tier facilities.
