KIOWA COUNTY —Two people were injured in an accident just before 8:30a.m. Thursday in Kiowa County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2007 GMC Yukon driven by Dario Flores, 57, Ulysses, was eastbound on U.S. 54 at Cottonwood Street. The SUV struck a westbound 2025 Hyundai Tucson driven by Stephen R. Oneill, 44, Lawrence, who turned south into the path of the Yukon.
EMS transported Flories and a passenger Silvestre M. Flores, 85, Ulysses, to the Kiowa County Memorial Hospital. Oneill was not injured. Flores, Silvestre M. Flores was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
