Personalities and behavior of employees are not to be presented during this period but are to be reported to the employee’s immediate supervisor. • Orchestra Trip Presentation
Orchestra instructors Isaac Enochs and Aubrey Maneth will present information regarding a 4-5 day trip to Colorado Springs, CO, during the 2023 summer break. The group intends to use a travel agency to handle the arrangements. Travel plans and related expenditures will be presented for board consideration.

The Licensed Employees’ Agreement stipulates that the annual mileage rate for reimbursement to employees for approved miles traveled is established each July, according to the Kansas state rate. The current state rate is 58.5 cents.

At the meeting of 6/13/2022, BOE members heard the first reading of KASBrecommended new and revised policies. At this second reading, the administration recommends approval.

10. ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT / CURRICULUM REPORT
A. Summer School finality: Mrs. Reiser will provide an update on the 2022 Summer School program and the impact it had on USD 428 students.
B. LETRS Training:(Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling):
USD 428 is partnering with KSDE and TASN to provide LETRS training to Pre K12 teachers for the 2022-23 and 2023-24 school years. Forty-six USD 428 teachers are signed up to participate in this unique opportunity. LETRS is a professional learning course for instructors of reading, spelling, and related skills to provide teachers with in-depth knowledge and tools to use with any reading program. Mrs. Reiser will share more about the initiative and the requirements to participate.
B. Student Withdrawal Report: Mr. Popp will present data and discuss trends of students who have dropped out or withdrawn from GBHS this past school year.
C. Summary of 2021-2022 Professional Development Council (PDC):
The USD 428 Professional Development Council (PDC) is a representative group of teachers and administrators who, by law, must meet regularly, develop a 5-year plan, count points, approve Individual Development plans, establish and evaluate professional development opportunities. Mrs. Reiser will provide details of the report.
