The Ellinwood Underground City Foundation invites thrill-seekers to experience the second annual Tunnel of Terror Haunted House at the historic Wolf Hotel on October 17, 23, 24 and 30.
This year’s Haunted House promises to be more exciting than ever, with an entirely new collection of chills, thrills and unexpected scares awaiting visitors inside one of Ellinwood’s most historic landmarks.
Food vendors will be available during the event. Adult guests age 21 and older may purchase beverages at a cash bar, while younger visitors can enjoy their own nonalcoholic mocktail bar.
Admission is $15 per person, and tickets will be sold at the door. The Haunted House will be open from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. each evening.
The Tunnel of Terror is presented by the Ellinwood Underground City Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving, interpreting and sharing Ellinwood’s remarkable underground history. Through historic tours, exhibits, educational programs and preservation projects, the Foundation works to ensure that this unique part of the community’s heritage remains available for future generations.
Proceeds from the Haunted House help support the Foundation’s ongoing preservation, educational and public-programming activities. By attending, visitors will enjoy an unforgettable evening while also helping protect and promote Ellinwood’s history.
Project organizer Renee McVey stated “The Tunnel of Terror gives people a fun and unusual way to experience Ellinwood’s Underground City while supporting its preservation and interpretation.”
