From the Barton County Attorney's Office...

On May 4, Jose Saul Torres, Jr. appeared in Barton County District Court on allegations that he violated his probation. At a hearing on the matter, Barton County Attorney Levi Morris presented evidence that Torres had committed new crimes while on probation and asked the court to revoke his probation.

After hearing evidence, District Court Judge Carey Hipp revoked Torres’ probation in Barton County 2017 CR 13 and ordered him to serve his underlying sentence of 154 months in the Kansas Department of Corrections.

Torres was originally sentenced on Feb. 23, 2018 after pleaded guilty to one count of Aggravated Battery.
